A timed ticket to Top of the Rock starts from $42 in October 2026, and two rides above the deck, The Beam and SKYLIFT, add $20 each. The Beam combo and the SKYLIFT combo cost from $68 each (4.29 from 35 reviews, 4.08 from 12), the All Inclusive Pass from $78 (4.30 from 20) and the VIP Pass from $201 (4.14 from 93). Ten products here add a guide (October 2026). Top of the Rock Entry Ticket Plus Rockefeller Center Walking Tour (from $74, 4.70 from 79 reviews) spends 90 minutes on Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral and Radio City Music Hall and ends at the deck with the ticket. 5th Avenue Mansions & Top of the Rock Tour (from $69, 5.0 from 7 reviews) walks two hours south from the Plaza Hotel, with skip-the-line entry and an option that adds The Beam. The Top of the Rock Observatory and Grand Central Tour (from $79) starts with a Grand Central tour and had no reviews yet. Against a $42 ticket, the guide adds $27 to $37. Two 3-hour Manhattan walking tours with a deck ticket start from $120; their guide does not go up. The Private Tour with Skip the Line Ticket at Top of the Rock (from $381) notes that every visitor still passes security.
The Beam and SKYLIFT
The Beam lifts riders 12 feet above the deck on a beam that turns 180 degrees, recreating the 1932 photograph "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper". SKYLIFT is an open-air glass platform that rises 30 feet above the 70th floor and turns a full circle. Bought alone, each adds $20 to the $42 admission; the All-Inclusive Pass adds both for $30 (online prices, October 2026).
The rules, as of October 2026: Beam riders must be 52 inches (132 cm) tall to ride alone, or 42 to 52 inches with an adult, up to 300 lbs, in closed-toe shoes or sandals with a secure heel, with phones left in cubbies. SKYLIFT has no height limit; under-18s ride with an adult, and its clear floor makes pants or shorts the better choice. Either may close in extreme weather, with the ticket moved to another date.
Visiting
The deck opens daily from 8 am to midnight, with last entry and the last Beam and SKYLIFT tickets at 11:10 pm (October 2026). Its three levels sit on the 67th, 69th and 70th floors of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, open-air all round, and the 70th floor is 850 feet up. The view takes in the Empire State Building and Central Park.
Everyone passes security. Knives of any kind, glass bottles, outside food and drink, tripods and large bags are not allowed, there is no storage and no re-entry. The deck is open daily year-round, though parts may close for safety in bad weather; tickets are not refunded for weather but can be rescheduled (October 2026).
The entrance is at 50 West 50th Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, marked by a red carpet on the south side of the street. The nearest subway is 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center (B, D, F, M).

City passes
Top of the Rock General Admission is one of the choices in New York CityPASS, and CityPASS holders can reserve their slot online. Go City's Essentials, Explorer and All-Inclusive passes include it, and holders of the New York Pass or the Explorer Pass redeem it in person at the box office (October 2026). To compare, see CityPASS vs Go City and the New York Explorer Pass.
The other decks: Empire State Building tickets, Edge tickets, One World Observatory tickets and SUMMIT One Vanderbilt tickets, the one deck in none of the passes checked in October 2026.
