CENTRAL PARK PEDICAB TOURS · OCTOBER 2026
A Central Park pedicab tour seats up to three riders behind a driver who is also the guide, with stops to get off and walk to the sights. On Viator in October 2026 the two most reviewed start from $38 per person and rate 4.97 and 4.98 from more than 16,000 reviews between them. A pedicab hailed on the street charges by the minute at its own posted rate; a booked tour fixes the price, the length and the stops in advance.
Which tour
Most pedicab tours sell the same park in one-hour steps. The difference is how far north they go and how many stops let riders off.
The Private Central Park Pedicab Tour (4.98 from 7,639 reviews, from $38 per person on Viator in October 2026) makes four photo stops on its one-hour option: the skyline view, Bethesda Fountain, Bow Bridge and Strawberry Fields. Central Park Pedicab Guided Tours (4.97 from 8,688 reviews, from $38) stops at Wollman Rink, Bethesda Fountain, Cherry Hill and Strawberry Fields. New York Pedicab Services costs from $24 per person (4.90 from 301 reviews) for 50 minutes with three hop-off stops. The lowest price on the page is Journey Park NYC, from $20 per person (4.99 from 75 reviews), with options from 20 minutes to two hours.
The two-hour options add Belvedere Castle, the Reservoir and, on some, Shakespeare Garden. Central Park Guided Pedicab Tours (4.97 from 605 reviews, from $65) sells a three-hour whole-park tour. The longest product on the page, a private SUV tour of Midtown with a pedicab ride in the park, takes four hours, from $800 per group.
Central Park Film Spots and Celebrity Homes (4.95 from 192 reviews, from $40) reaches the Met, the Reservoir and Belvedere Castle on its two-hour option. Central Park Film Spots Pedicab Tour (4.97 from 160 reviews, from $42) keeps to one hour, and Elf and Home Alone 2 Movie Locations Tour (5.0 from 57 reviews, from $100) visits the park's locations from those two films.
Hotel pickup comes with 11 of the 88 tours in October 2026. For a carriage or a bike instead, see all Central Park tours.

Pricing
On the street, the city does not set pedicab fares (October 2026). Each pedicab posts its own price per minute on signs outside the cab and must show a digital timer with an official seal. The price is the same for one, two or three riders; charging extra per person, adding tax or making a tip compulsory is against the law, and the driver cannot raise the price at the end. The city's own worked example: at $3 a minute, a 22-minute ride costs $66. Complaints go to 311.
A booked tour is priced before the day. Most of the most reviewed are priced per person, and several need at least two people, so a couple pays twice the "from" price. Ten of the 88 are priced per cab in October 2026, from $75 to $800 per group: the Pedicab Guided Tour of Central Park costs from $125 per group for 40 to 60 minutes (4.93 from 262 reviews, October 2026), whatever the number of riders up to three.
What a guide adds
Rain is the main risk: New York Pedicab Services does not ride in rain and decides two hours before, and Central Park Guided Pedicab Tours lets riders move to the next day. Booking early in a trip leaves room to reschedule.
FAQ
A booked tour starts from $20 per person on Viator in October 2026, and the two most reviewed from $38, often with a two-person minimum; ten tours are priced per cab instead, from $75 per group. On the street there is no city fare: each pedicab posts its own per-minute price, and the city's example is $66 for 22 minutes at $3 a minute (October 2026).
For a first visit with an hour or two, yes: it covers the southern half of the park with stops on foot and a guide who takes photos. The two most reviewed tours rate 4.97 and 4.98 from more than 16,000 reviews. A bike rental, from $6 per person on Viator in October 2026, costs less but comes without a guide, photos or set stops.
Three at most, children included. Larger groups ride in several pedicabs that stay together on the tour.
No: a tip cannot be made compulsory on a street pedicab ride (October 2026). Booked tours list gratuities as optional or not included.
One hour covers the southern half; 90 minutes adds a stop or two; two hours reach Belvedere Castle and the Reservoir; a few tours run three hours over the whole park, and one private SUV tour with a pedicab ride takes four.
A pedicab goes further and stops for walks, and is mostly priced per person; a carriage is slower, takes up to four adults and is usually priced per carriage. Carriages are being phased out by June 1, 2028 under a measure passed by the City Council in October 2026. See carriage rides.
Most meet south of the park, between 55th and 59th Streets on Sixth or Seventh Avenue or Broadway. In the park, pedicabs may pick up riders only at signposted areas (October 2026).
