The Skip-the-Line Premium Experience with Tour (from $162 on Viator in October 2026, 4.87 from 193 reviews) is the Premium Experience sold through Viator: a 90-minute tour led by a SUMMIT tour lead, skip-the-line access at the entrance, security, elevators and Levitation, and a digital photo package.

Grand Central or Midtown tours with the deck

Several tours walk the neighborhood and include a SUMMIT ticket; most end with the guide handing it over. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt with Grand Central Terminal Tour (from $99, 4.64 from 33 reviews) spends an hour inside the terminal in groups of up to 12, with an Ascent upgrade option. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt With New York City Midtown Tour (from $79, 4.5 from 6 reviews) starts in Times Square and passes Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Chrysler Building. NYC Iconic Sights and Skyline Views with SUMMIT Ticket Option (from $39, 4.81 from 63 reviews) is a two-hour walk from the New York Public Library to Grand Central; the deck is an option, and the $39 is the walk without it. The VIP SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and Grand Central Guided Tour (from $135, 3.6 from 20 reviews in October 2026) adds early-morning entry to SUMMIT and a guide in groups of up to 15, with tours in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese. Two private tours, from $275 per person and $1,899 per group, had no reviews yet. For the station on its own, see Grand Central tours.

What the visit covers, and the hours

SUMMIT takes three levels, floors 91, 92 and 93, 1,100 feet above Midtown. Air by Kenzo Digital fills them with Transcendence, a room lined with 30,375 square feet of mirrors, Affinity, the silver balloon room, and Unity. Reflect is by Yayoi Kusama. Levitation is two glass ledges over Madison Avenue. The 93rd floor has the Apres cafe and an open-air terrace, and Ascent starts there: an all-glass elevator on the outside of the building that climbs 12 more stories.

SUMMIT opens daily from 8 am to midnight, with last entry at 10:30 pm (October 2026). The entrance is at 45 East 42nd Street, with a second door on Grand Central's Main Concourse. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and the S shuttle stop at Grand Central-42 St.

Rules that catch visitors out

Is SUMMIT in a city pass?

Not in the ones checked. SUMMIT is not part of New York CityPASS, C3 or C-ALL, and Go City does not list it on its passes or in its own guide to the city's observation decks (October 2026). The other four decks, the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, Edge and One World Observatory, are each in at least one of those passes. See CityPASS vs Go City for what each pass covers.
